The Fenworks Difference

Built For Every Kind Of Player

Scholastic esports provides a structured, athletic framework for video gaming in schools. Students participate in officiated regular seasons that mirror traditional sports, giving both competitive players and student creators a hands-on way to represent their school.

Competitive Seasons

Our seasons follow the same structure as the traditional sports in your school; students practice, compete through a scheduled regular season, and play toward a championship.

  • Weekly matches with set schedules, standings, and playoffs
  • Fenworks provides the officiating and builds the schedule, so your coach can focus on the students
  • Teams compete from your own building or online, with no travel or transportation to arrange

A Title For Every Player

Our games are chosen to reach more than just your most competitive gamers; team titles, solo titles, strategy games, and party classics give more of your student body a way into the program.

  • Team-based and solo titles across multiple genres
  • A published game list, so you can review every title before your school signs on
  • First-time players and seasoned competitors compete in the same program

Broadcasting Academy

Not every student wants to compete, and the season doesn't ask them to. Our Broadcasting Academy puts students behind the camera and the microphone, casting matches and producing the story of the season.

  • Shoutcasting, live production, and media skills taught through the season
  • Hands-on experience producing live broadcasts of our matches
  • A starting point for students interested in digital media career opportunities

What Our Schools Say
MacKenzie Dokkebakken
Activities Director, Benson Public Schools
Participation in esports naturally sparks interest in high-demand fields such as computer science, cybersecurity, and digital media, and the rise of collegiate esports offers students tangible pathways to scholarship. We have also seen students improve their grades and attendance specifically to remain active on the team.
Matt Ruzek
Rochester Public Schools
In the first year alone, we saw immediate academic improvements among participating students. This year, three graduating seniors are being connected with collegiate esports opportunities at their local community college, options they were unaware of before participating in our program.
Winter Booth
Warroad High School
The majority (56%) of our current esports players do not participate in any other organized team competition. I've witnessed students with IEPs thrive in this setting. Through inclusive gameplay, esports allows them to showcase skills and talents that may not be apparent in a traditional classroom setting.
Kale Severson
Activities Director, North Community High School
We are particularly proud of how esports has fostered connection and inclusion for our students with disabilities, allowing them to participate alongside their peers. These students, who might otherwise remain silent observers, are developing the confidence and leadership skills necessary to thrive.
Timothy Schochenmaier
Superintendent, Central Public Schools
I have watched students who were once quiet or disconnected become engaged members of a team, communicating strategies, encouraging one another, and developing friendships that extend beyond the gaming arena.
Broc Threinen
Kasson-Mantorville School District
Students gain hands-on experience with hardware, software, networking, and digital media tools. These experiences align with pathways in STEM, computer science, media production, marketing, and information technology.

Common Questions

Costs vary by school. However, most run for a fraction of the cost of a traditional sport, and we will work with you to find the right plan for your school's budget.

No specialist staff required. Your school just needs an adult to serve as the team's GM and adviser, the point of contact who keeps things running on your end; we handle the coaching, officiating, and scheduling from there. We also help build your program around your school and get the right equipment in place.

Our seasons feature popular, school-appropriate titles across multiple genres. As a result, there is a place for every kind of player. The full Fenworks lineup includes:

2XKO * Chess * Fortnite * Guilty Gear Strive * League of Legends * Magic: The Gathering * Marvel Rivals * Mario Kart 8 * Minecraft Bedwars * Pokémon Unite * Rocket League * Super Smash Bros. Ultimate * VALORANT *

* Available titles depend on your state's sanctioning rules and the current season.
