Is there a cost to enter?
The Fenworks State Tournament is a FREE event for participants and spectators.
Where can I put my bags if I need to be checked in or checked out?
If you can, leave your personnel items in your car, on your bus, or in your hotel room. Hotels are typically willing to store luggage if you cannot check-in early.
How do I let my family and friends know when I am going to be playing?
Check on the Schedule and Brackets/Scores page.
Where can I get my own state tournament gear?
Explore our exclusive merchandise shop at the event, offering limited quantities. Secure your preferred size by pre-ordering on our website and take home a lasting memento from the Tournament!
How will the championship rounds work?
Championship rounds for most games will be set up on the main stage for attendees to watch.
What do we get for winning?
All winning teams will receive a team trophy and medals along with the chance to purchase an individual ring.
How do I collect my winning trophy and ring?
The trophy will be handed out at the closing ceremonies. If a student wishes to purchase a ring, the rings will be sized to winner and then the rings will be shipped to their house.
What will I need to bring with me to the event space?
If you want to use your controller, you will be responsible for it. Make sure to bring your login information for your game title. All other equipment will be provided. Water fountains will be available as well throughout the building.
Where will I be able to eat?
Can my friends and family watch me play in person?
Yes! We welcome all attendees. Most players will compete in a private area that will not allow direct viewing. There will be a viewing area in the mainstage area to view those games. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to stream every game to our social channels. Most championship games will be played on the mainstage and able to be viewed on the big screen. Limited in-person viewing will be available for Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Chess.

There will be UND tours and Vendors throughout the event. Be sure to check it out!
If we lose, can we leave?
We would love for you to stay and cheer on other competitors. But we totally understand if you need to leave.
