Registration

Registration will begin on Thursday, February 22, at 9:00 am at the Memorial Union. The Union will open to the general public at 11:00 am. We will have tables at the entrance of the Ballrooms to register the students and teams. Opening ceremonies will begin at noon.

We will have a bag for each student participant at the registration table with a jersey, name tag, and some fun swag!

Equipment

Fenworks and UND will provide the PC setup for all players. This setup includes a mouse, mousepad, keyboard, and headset. Fenworks has very limited Xbox controllers available for players to borrow.

Fenworks allows and strongly suggests players bring their personal peripherals so they feel more comfortable playing.
This extends to mice, keyboards, controllers, and headsets. Players should not bring monitors or entire setups or consoles. It is strongly suggested that you bring your own controller if you require a controller. Please ensure you have the correct connecter to be used on a PC and that the controller is compatible with a PC. If a player brings a controller, ensure the controller's cord is also brought. Bluetooth is compatible; however, please don't rely on it.

For all equipment a student brings, they should be ready to set up their equipment promptly. They cannot download hardware/drivers/etc. All outside equipment will be inspected by Fenworks staff before use in tournament play. Please be prepared to use the supplied equipment if personal equipment doesn't work.

Fortnite

All 15 teams will compete in the same private lobby, playing no-build trios. The teams will compete for points following the same scoring as the regular season. The scoring can be found below. Four games will be played for teams to gain points. All four games will be played back-to-back. No grace period or practice game will occur.

  • If a team is eliminated, please notify a Fenworks observer so they can record your team’s score.
  • If two or more teams tie after the final game, the team with the highest overall placement will be given the win. If there is still a tie for first place, those two teams will compete in a three v three game to determine the winner.
  • If technical difficulties prevent Fenworks from operating the private lobby with all teams, Fenworks will default the tournament format to the same as the regular season.
  • Scoring: Teams receive 1 point for every elimination their team gets. Teams also receive bonus points based on their placement:
