Introduction

Welcome to the 2024 Fenworks Drone Racing State Tournament! First and foremost, we are so grateful to each of you. Without the students, the General Managers, school administrators, schools, parents, and the communities, Fenworks wouldn’t be who we are and do what we love. We are excited to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the teams competing in the state tournament. We hope you have an enjoyable and memorable experience. Check back often for updates!

This event is free to all participants and fans.  

Traveling

Teams will travel across North Dakota, and Minnesota to attend the tournament. Be sure to take a moment to see how long your trip is expected to take to Fargo, North Dakota, so you can arrive with plenty of time to get registered and settled in. Schools should plan to arrive in Fargo between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm on Friday, May 17. Doors for the general public will open at 1:30 pm. Opening ceremonies begin at 2:00 pm. We encourage all schools and teams to attend.

Location

The State Tournament will be held at NDSU's Memorial Union. The registration table will be set up right outside of the main ballrooms.

parking and buses

Parking will be in the Memorial Union (MU) parking lot. 

This parking lot requires the purchase of hourly/daily parking. 

For Friday, all Schools were provided with a parking lot code. Please refer to the email for instructions on how to use the code. For Spectators, parking passes can be purchased at the kiosk located where the star is or by utilizing the Passport Mobile Parking App. More instructions on how to use the app can be found here. Parking is free after 4:30 pm.

For Saturday, Parking is free all day for everyone.

Through the Fargo-Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau, we have been able to secure some courtesy rates for the event.

We advise prompt hotel booking as some rates do have expiration dates.

Discover the vast array of dining options on campus and throughout Fargo. We invite you to delve into the diverse and exciting dining options available for students, GMs, vendors, and fans throughout the event. Fenworks and NDSU will not be providing meals throughout the tournament. 

 

NDSU dining facilities are prepared to cater to most dietary restrictions. Inform a dining staff member of your needs. All NDSU dining options and convenience stores will accept cash or debit and credit cards.

 

Meal times will be limited due to summer hours.

    • Hoagie Hut (Subs and Salads) | 9 am – 3 pm

Off-Campus Options

If you choose to eat off campus, please make sure you arrive back in time before your next event. Otherwise, your team will potentially receive a forfeit. Restaurant suggestions in Fargo can be found here.
